Alex Paulec founded Yellowtail with a simple goal: to bring high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer satisfaction to custom remodeling in Southwest Florida.

With over 25 years of combined experience in construction, project management, and business consulting, Alex wanted to combine his skills and create something new, aspiring to set the new standard for remodeling in the region. Starting as a licensed residential construction company (CRC), we quickly expanded our expertise, and within two years became certified for commercial projects.

As our projects and reach expanded, so did our team. Jonas Cruz joined Yellowtail, upping our on-site construction game and further shaping our approach to both residential and commercial remodeling. Sabine Spinel joined the team on the administrative side, widening the scope of our ability to manage high-end, personalized projects.

Along the way, we became a licensed dealer for premium products, including Pelican sinks, Medallion and Craft-Made cabinets, and Solstone. This expansion enhanced our custom solutions with top-quality materials like vinyl flooring, quartz countertops, and bespoke cabinetry.

And after the damage and destruction of Hurricane Ian, we played a significant role in rebuilding Sanibel Island, testifying to Floridian resilience as well as honing our skills in handling complex restoration projects.

We’ve come a long way from humble beginnings. Taking on unique custom building projects — including historic home restorations, in locations as far as South Dakota and even Germany — we transform every space we touch into stunning, functional works of art.
